Buying lingerie for your wife or girlfriend is not always easy. We girls get very disappointed when we eagerly tear off the gift-wrapping only to find a hideous creation of red lace, two sizes too big and full of holes where there ought not to be holes!

Do your research
The first thing to remember is size. This should be easy enough to figure out - just have a rummage around in her lingerie drawer. The size is written on the tag at the back of the bra and the tag at the back of briefs. Basically for the bra, the numbers refer to the body size and the letters refer to the cup size and you need to record both. If you're still wary about choosing the wrong size then cami-tops, briefs and baby dolls make great (and easy-to-buy!) gifts.

Remember - it's not for you
Sure you want to see your her in something that you like yourself, but remember, if she doesn't like what you buy it will go straight to the back of her lingerie drawer, never to see the light of day again. If it's full of camisoles and boyshorts, chances are she's not a g-string and push-up bra kinda girl.

Accentuate the body
Choose something that will flatter her figure. It's important to know what body parts your wife or girlfriend really likes or, conversely, is self-conscious about. That way she will feel comfortable and attractive wearing it.
